Create a free link-in-bio page without a subscription

A link-in-bio page should make your next step easier, without turning a small task into another recurring expense. Here is a practical way to build a page on alinkin.bio with the features already included for free.

Choose links that answer a visitor's question

Start with the destinations people actually ask you for: your latest work, contact details, shop, booking page or social profile. Put the most useful action first. You do not need to fill every available slot just because there is room; a short list with clear labels is usually easier to scan on a phone.

Open each destination while signed out. Check that a customer can see the right product, a reader reaches the intended article, and a contact link uses a public address. Use labels such as View my portfolio or Book an appointment, rather than a row of identical Click here buttons.

Use the included design features at your own pace

Add a name, a short bio and a profile photo, then choose a palette. Those basics are enough to publish. If you want more personality, open Advanced customisation for backgrounds, covers, link artwork, social icons, fonts and button shapes. These controls are optional and free; you do not need to finish every setting.

Choose images you own or have permission to use. A background should support your labels rather than hide them. Use the background tint to improve contrast and check the preview at a phone-sized width. A simple solid colour can be a better choice than artwork when the page contains detailed information.

Understand what costs nothing and what has its own terms

Creating an account, publishing your page, uploading images, customising its appearance and connecting related pages are free with alinkin.bio. There is no credit-card step or paid upgrade checkout for these features. Current limits are 20 pages per account, 40 links per page and 20 artwork images per page, with a separate profile photo.

A link to an external shop, booking provider or subscription does not change that provider's charges. Keep those expectations clear at the destination. alinkin.bio organises links and counts outgoing clicks; it does not take customer payments, provide the external service or turn an enquiry into a confirmed reservation.

Review the private draft before sharing it

Saving a draft keeps your page private. Its public URL will not open for visitors until you publish. Add at least one enabled link, visible content image or available connected page, then click Publish page when you are ready. Draft guidance in the editor explains the current state, so you can keep experimenting without sharing unfinished work.

After publishing, open the public URL while signed out on a phone. Check the first action, image readability and every destination. Put the page URL in your social bio only after that check. When a project or offer changes, edit the same page and save; you can keep the public URL rather than replacing it every time.

Before you share

  • The first link helps visitors take the most useful next step.
  • Link labels make sense without extra explanation.
  • Images are yours to use and text stays readable on a phone.
  • External destinations have been checked while signed out.
  • You understand the current page and image limits.
  • The page is published before its URL is shared.
